Yet each piece continues to grow old

I prayed and prayed and prayed to God
To find someone who could hold..
Hold on to every piece of me
Be there when I needed a friend
Accept me for who I am
Help soothe my doubts within
I thought I found that person..
That one who's hands were large enough to hold
